I’m Suzanne McCormack, single mom of 3 grown boys and caretaker of my aging mother. So the boys are grown out on their own…..proud mom? YES! But now what?? I have always loved design and had a design business for over 10 years here in my small town. I never seemed to have the time I wanted to devote to it, but now I do. I am finding my way in the “life after small children” phase of my life. I love to find things that need love either thrifting, looking through my own house or off the side of the road that I can give a little or sometimes a lot of effort into redoing it.
I am obsessed with Scotland thanks to the show Outlander, so after many nights researching things I wanted to know about, I have a true love for Scotland. I am planning on turning 50 there this year!!! I am also obsessed with a good cup of coffee, I have made my morning cup of coffee my sacred time in the morning. I can teach you how to do so as well. All in all, I am just a mom who is trying to find out what to do now that I am not at ballfields, school plays and all the other things we do when the kids are small so I thought I would share this with you.

Epic Fails
We’ve all done it! Spent countless hours on Pinterest to find a project that we want to do…right? Then when we actually do the project it looks NOTHING like what the picture has! Or we’ve tried to DIY ourselves some new candles and they smell like nothing at all…yes, yes I have done it. I have to just laugh at myself and think I can either retry or just laugh and think “well that didn’t go as planned.”
Finding a true love of Scotland
If you are an Outlander fan like myself, you have probably become obsessed with Scotland too! I probably know more about Scotland than I do about the U.S. It is truly a wonderful, magical place that we can share together.
